I just read your erudite comment on [omitted] on IMDb and wanted to let you know how impressed I was with your subtlety and insight.... a quick glance at several reveals a consistency of style and wit that are a joy to read. This stuff is eminently publishable, and of course, dwarfs the usual fan mag tripe that passes for comment on IMDb... If you can keep up the effort, know that there are appreciative readers out there.

this letter is basically fan-mail. ever since i first came across your imdb reviews, i've been going back to them repeatedly. your take on the movies you review is amazing to me. i wish i could see movies the way you see them. although i disagree with your opinions much of the time, i'd love to see what these movies look like to the person who makes these sometimes far-out commentaries.

You bring a fresh perspective beyond the "BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!!" and "It sucked" reviews that populate the IMDb. I also learned a lot reading your work, and had to do a little research to fully appreciate them (I confess that I had to reach for a dictionary a few times). Reading such educated and literate work makes me wonder if you are an artist yourself?

Thanks for your insightful and amusing imdb posts. I've enjoyed myself the past two hours reading your opinions on [omitted] and about 100 others. This time should have been used to write for my classes, but at 20 years old I've devoted at least six years to staying alfoat in academics. And now that my momentum is flagging all it takes is a subtle question in my mind of whether you liked [omitted] to keep me away from work for an entire afternoon. Nevertheless, I'm glad to have stumbled across your focus on self-reference.
